Meet the Radiologists
Viera Diagnostic Center Radiologists
VDC is comprised of specially trained radiologists for diagnostic analysis and consulting services.
Dr. Araj is formerly the director of radiology at Cape Canaveral Hospital. He holds degrees from the University of Florida and Medical College of Ohio, and completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology from the University of California-Davis. Dr. Araj is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology and is a member of the American College of Radiology and the Florida Radiological Society.
Dr. Cohen has board certification in diagnostic radiology, radiologic intervention, nuclear medicine, and nuclear cardiology. His medical degree was completed from Thomas Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He had accomplished six years of post graduate radiology residency and fellowship training at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital.
He had been previously been teaching as an assistant professor for radiology at the Bridgeport Hospital in Connecticut and was the Chief of Radiologic Intervention and nuclear medicine at the Cape Canaveral Hospital. He is also affiliated with the American College of Radiology and Radiologic Society of North America.
With a special interest in Musculoskeletal Radiology, Dr. Cohen has completed the visiting Fellowship program in Musculoskeletal MRI at Duke University with subsequent designation of subspecialty expertise in MSK Radiology.
Dr. Gentles beagan her residency training at Howard University and completed her residency at the University of Florida, where she also completed a fellowship in Musculoskeletal radiology. She is certified by the American Board of Radiology and is a member of the radiological Society of North America.
Dr. Konrad Kirlew attended college at the University of Florida. He graduated from the Stanford University School of Medicine, and completed a transitional internship at St. Vincents Hospital in New York City. His residency and neuroradiology fellowship training were obtained at UCLA, where he was a chief resident. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology.
Dr. Powell has a board certification for diagnostic radiology, neuro radiology, and radiologic intervention. He has graduated from MIT and Duke University and accomplished medical training at the University of Florida. He is also educated in musculoskeletal imaging. He is currently a clinical assistant professor at the University of Florida radiology department.
He is affiliated with numerous professional medical groups including Brevard County Medical Society, American College of Radiology, and Radiological Society of North America.
